Well, kids. Here are all of the things I saved. You know, in case we time travel.
First, there were the Beanie Babies:
*Note: not all of my Beanies were TY, but that never really bothered me like some of the more hardcore Beanie collectors.
American Girl Grin Pins: Remember when you used to buy things from American Girl of Today and they'd send you grin pins for you or for your doll (depending on who the outfit was for)? Best thing ever. Clearly I saved them.
Nala BFF Necklace: My neighbor had Simba. Clearly this was worth saving for sentimental value....and because The Lion King was the best movie ever.
Purple BFF Necklaces: You got these at every birthday party in the 1990s. They were really the hot item in a goody bag. I guess I was waiting for the right best friend to come along to share it with (maybe I'll send it to Brianna).
Glow in the Dark Alien Earrings: All my friends were really obsessed with Aliens in the 90s. In hindsight, the question shouldn't be "why did I save these" but rather "why did I ever buy them to begin with?"
And Finally, the large puff paint rhinestone earrings: I have no idea where these came from, but I obviously saved them in case I ever dress up as Claudia Kishi.
I hope you enjoyed this edition of 90's Things I Found in My House. Volume 2 will be coming soon, but I was afraid if I posted it all at once, some reader would call that show Hoarders on me.
So, tell us. What kind of cool 90's stuff do you have in your house? If you are also snowed in, I encourage you to go search for some cool childhood memories. Stay warm, and at least wear your pajamas backwards again tonight and hope for another snow day!
